Sometimes, that's the way it goes: Much of the listening experience depends on the listener being in the right place to hear what the album's offering. That took longer than anticipated, but coming back to the album with fresh ears turned out to be a blessing: The second time around, I could feel how much nuance and emotional resonance were packed into each song.
